what is this and how do I get rid off it? Its growing on rock and walls over the top of coraline. It does not blow off when using a powerhead.
I add neophos and nitrate 2-3 times a week to maintain phos .02-.04 and nitrate around 5. Don't want to stop these additions as I don't want these parameters to bottom out
thanks

Are you sure it isn't just that the coraline is turning red for some reason? Is it present anywhere other than on the coraline?

It’s starting to choke off a green stylo coral. It started growing from the base up. The base of the coral was bare skeleton, so it started to grow there

Have you tried to scrub it with a stiff brush? Not a toothbrush but rather something wire ... preferably stainless.
What does a brush do to it?

Sorry for the delay in response. Sleep and work always get in the way of the important work to be done.
Seems to brush off with a toothbrush. Kinda hard to see in the pic. This is the coral that is being chocked off from the bottom up.
