Red Ogo arrived dry

Hey guys,

I received a shipment of red ogo from Algae Barn yesterday. The container lid was loose and there was no water at all in the jar. The ogo was pretty dry. I added water and it looks healthier, but it also smells pretty bad. Haven't received a response from support at Algae Barn - was wondering if I should just trash it, or is the smell usual in the jar?

I wouldn't trash it personally- the algae may in fact make it. I've had cheato I accidently left on the counter for a couple days survive- there was a bit of die off, but it bounced back within the month. From what I've seen on this forum, Algae Barn has been pretty attentive with their customer support- I'm sure they'll get back to you shortly and ensure you're happy with the outcome.

Algae usually smells a little on the funky side to me when I am getting rid of some from my fuge. Not a rotten smell, but fishy...

#AlgaeBarn is an awesome company, they bent over backwards to help me out. They will do what's right. IMO
