Red/orange sponge that came on live rock

Any clue what type it is(tall tubelike one on the right side of the tank). I've been noticing some white stuff building up on it that blows off easily in the current or with a turkey baster. First time with true live rock and want to try and preserve as much of the life as I can.

It’s finger sponge and pricey when you can find them
They need good light and water flow and DO NOT EXPOSE TO ATMOSPHERIC AIR Or it will die

Too late on the air. The rock was shipped in wet paper towel. Seems to be doing ok though I guess? I was just concerned about the white build up it gets in it.

Yeah...taking a closer look and it appears to be on its way out sadly. It was really nice looking.
