Ive looked online candidate find anything on it. They look like plant roots on the glass some are white/orange and others are bright red. They are ranging from 1cm to the biggest one around 3" and they don't move. Pretty weird I can't find anything on them. I can't upload a photo for some reason? There's about 20 I can see and they seem to be branching over the glass could it be seaweed or kelp roots or something I'm so confused

Sounds like the same thing I have seen in my tanks. I can't remember what they're called, but they are a type of worm. They can be unsightly but from what I read about them they are benign and typically live in the sand bed or rock work only coming out at night and feed on detrius so you can consider them part of the cleanup crew. Many will make it down the drain and will be caught by filter socks. So far none of my fish seem even remotely interested in eating them either. If possible post a picture of them so they can be positively identified.

There only on the glass though. They don't move at all and look like there forming new roots I tried to push one against the glass to see if it would splat but its hard and never done anything to it, I think they look quite cool tbh. If its what ur saying its OK but would there be any chance whatsoever of it being some sort of plant? Thanks

Found them. They are called Spaghetti worms.

Thanks, it most probably is that. But it looks so different I wish I could post a photo but it won't let me.
