I added a red planet to my tank about 3-4 months ago. It's growing like crazy and has great poly extension around the clock. But the colors look off. Base has faded so that it is a very light green tint. Branches look almost white and polpys are bright pink. I've tweaked my lights higher/lower but not much luck.
Here are my tank parameters:
105gallon + 20 gal sump
alk 8.8
cal 420
Mag 1380
nitrates 2.5-3.5
rowaphos
dose KZ amino acids
Maxspect LEDs (peak 6% white, 40% blue)
Coral plus T5 (75%)
Blue Plus T5 (80%)
Lights sit about 4" above water surface; red planet about 6-7" below surface
Any advice?
Thanks!

My lights are fully adjustable - Should I slowly reduce the output to get better color?
Thanks

I've got a ton of RP in my tank...all at various light levels. My main colony is about 2/3 the way down in a 93 gal cube. ALL PINK. A frag of this colony in a darker, more shaded part of the display has strong green skin, and is much less pink. Kind of a neat thing, I think.
