After lights out I was looking in the tank with a flashlight and saw hundreds of things in the water. Nothing new, I know I have a lot of pods (I have a mandarin), but these were different.

They’re about the size of larger pods, and they are red in color. When I put my light on the glass they gravitated toward it, like brine shrimp. Very fast movers. Don’t see them in the water column during the day.

Any ideas?

Tiger pods maybe ?

They have a red hue and as adults are pretty as far as a reef tank copepods go. In the same culture tank they almost look like a different species compared to the juveniles. Unlike the juveniles, they don't like light and stay buried the rock work during the day.
