Does anyone know if you can install a 90-degree fitting in the inlet of a 500?

You mean connect it to the exterior part? Probably. Two 45° segments would probably be better. Is this due to space constraints, ie: the flexible tubing won't fit?

You can unscrew the hose from the adapter and then take it somewhere like Home Depot (etc.) to try and find some plumbing fittings that will work. Most likely you'll need to cement a section of 45° angled pipe in combination with some male and female adapters. Is the space too tight for the flexible hose?

I did not buy yet! Just wanted to make sure that I could do.
