I have a red scoly that has been in my tank for a few weeks, and some of its flesh is beginning to turn transparent. The flesh is still attached, but I can see the skeleton underneath it. I have another scoly in the tank that is doing great with no signs of bleaching. I spot feed once a week with LRS nano. Any suggestions as to what I should do?

I had the same exact thing with a super healthy green one next to my war paints. My nitrates had dropped a decent bit but I was spot feeding weekly or more. I moved him to my higher nutrient system and his color has been coming back and much more PE when eating so I'm going to assume you may have a lower nutrient system?

I added a gfo reactor a few weeks ago, so maybe that’s it. I’ll take it off and see if it improves. Thanks!

You could also just feed the tank heavier. I slacked on reefroids and feeding (moved to 1x per day instead of 2x per day because online school) and my pink scoly began to lose color on the top. Picked my feeding back up and it is recovering well. :)

I'm having the same problem too. I added chaeto to my system and within 2 weeks my red scoly started to turn transparent. I'm going to increase feeding and reduce the chateo photoperiod.
