Looking to add possibly a red scooter blenny to my 46 gallon tank, currently live rock/live sand, two small clown fish, one chalk bass, lots of different "beginner" types of coral, all thriving so far. Water parameters doing well, testing perfect and I test each day. Obviously if I have a 46 gallon I will be limited to the number of fish I can have and I am going on a limb and thinking maybe five would be it? I would like a fish that is colorful and out front in the tank, though the blenny would certainly be a nice fish I understand they hide quite a bit. I'm also considering adding two Kupang Damsels at the very end for color, with the understanding being if they come in last, their aggression might be muted by that move? Thoughts?

The Scooter is a dragonet, how are you for pods? Some will take other food readily but still require a tremendous amount of live food.

My research shows me that only the Mandarin Blenny is one that is tough perhaps to feed, in fact red scooter blennies prefer brine shrimp, glass worms etc.
Image result for what does a red scooter blenny eat

brine shrimp

The Red Scooter Dragonet diet should consist of brine shrimp, bloodworms and glassworms, and small invertebrates. They are slow-moving, deliberate feeders and should not have to compete for their food.

My scooter would not eat prepared food for quite some time and still requires live pods for a majority of their diet.
