Hello from Sweden here is my second build.

Red Sea Reefer 170 custom sump .
Reef factory base pump 5000 .
Reef factory Smart roller S.
Reef factory salinity control .
Reef factory Ph control .
Reef factory Termo control .
Reef factory level control .
Aqua medic helix 18watt .
Aqua medic titanium heater 200w.
Deltec 400i skimmer .
2x Ai Nero 3 .
2x Ai hydra 26hd .
Caribsea life rock .
Caribsea special grade sand live.
Maxspect biobals , Maxspect bio bricks .

Have build a separate cabinet for all the electrical and ato for my both tanks .
The next weekend I’m starting my cycle . Gonna add modernreef starter kit and aqua forest bio s .

Have som pluming issues my pvc plans didn’t work out .
Can’t get the uv out line to work when you connect it directly to the return . Maybe I have put the valve in the wrong space.

Nice set-up! This was my last tank and loved it.

After some day’s talking with some reef friends y decided go this way . It seems to work ,my friend have tested everything and now the UV flow directly to the return pipe .

I have al the missing parts to start glowing everything . So now is not much left to fill up the tank and start the cycling

Update

The mounts for the 2 hydras are up , and the tank is back with reinforced seals . Time to start mixing water and put sand and the scape together. I hope start the cycle this weekend.

Scape update:

Used superglue and d&d epoxy with Caribsea life rock nano kit and caribsea frag rock . The scape come out great ,build the rocks in 3 sections so it easier to move . Have some rock left that I’m gonna make some magnetic shelfs with for the future .

Update:

The tank is now cycling.
Did 210 liter osmos water with faunamarin salt . First day y started with aquaforest life source and bio s. Second day y took a trip to my lfs and did buy some liberock and faunamarin reef start pro and blend . Third day a started cycling with modern reef amonium and bacto .The plan is to have 3 sources of bio bacteria to achieve a good and stable start.

14 days in and the tank is cykled 0.00 on my Seneye and my salifert test so today my pair of gladiator clowns are going in . The skimmer is not installed yet and the filter roller because I want to let the bacteria grow . Have not done any water changes for the same reason. Have some brown algae on the rocks and the sand but not much more so y gonna wait with the clean up crew little more , gonna add 1 -2 more fish in 14 days to not overload the system and when the first corals is going in I’m gonna start my skimmer . And send my first Icp test for se how the tank is in the parameters. I hope everything goes smoothly so y can start put some corals in .

Deltec 400i? I had a 600i on the reefer 250. Had to get rid of it, cobained with fleaceroller it brought the values to 0-0

Oki y gonna have it in mind. I’m gonna test one’s a week to have control of the parameters have bought the Hanna checkers.
Here in Sweden dose every lfs recommend to go bigger on the skimmer . Have some plans to put the skimmer on a schedule if the nutrition values are to low. Did you have a lot of fish? And how was your feeding?

Oki ser fint ut byggde sumpen för och kunna köra refugium får se vad framtiden leder oss . I mitt förra system körde jag Deltec 1000 och rullfilter och behövde endå köra algereaktor . Märkt att alla system är olika. Men härligt att tan bort skummare löste det för dig .

Update!!!

The tank is now 6 months and y have the algae under control the cuc have down a good Job .
I have almost put in all the fish y want .
Now to the problems y have high no3 and po4 im goona install the filter roller and se how its go and dose aquaforest np and bio pro.
My alkalinity is 6.0 so I’m starting to mount my dosing system and kh keeper.
I’m trying to minimize the tube so i want to try this setup but maybe it doesn’t work ?
