Newbie here!,

Received my 170e and set it up (without sump upgrade) .....questions about filtration. The 170 comes with stock with protein skimmer and carbon mesh bag. I didnt see any other mechanical filtration - am I correct to think that i need to add more mechanical filtration, ie sock or floss - I prefer socks - so was going to get the filter sock mount as I assume there is no other place to put sock in the rear tank?

I would think some type of mechanical filtration would be helpful, but I'm not familiar with the provided filtration the 170e tank. Here is a video showing how to set the tank up, which you may already be familiar with. Good luck.
