Pick up a Red Sea 170 a few weeks ago from a guy who was moving. Paid $250 for the setup plus all the rest of his saltwater stuff. I wasn't looking to go that big but couldn't pass up the deal.

I currently have a 13.5 fluval.

I will be setting it up after a 2 week vacation.

Light: Hydra 26
Return pump: Vectra M1
Power head: 1 mp10 might get another to have on each side.

Going to start getting the scape set up soon.

Updates coming when I get things going.

Great deal! Looking forward to your build. I've got the Red Sea Max E-260 that I got from a fellow reefer. Have fun with your new tank and have a great vacation!

Good for you! Congratulations on the new tank! I encourage you to take your time - patience is important as you go through this journey. Over the years, most of my frustrations have come from not curing and cycling rock correctly, not quarantining new fish and livestock correctly, and not paying enough attention to the water parameters - all things that could have been avoided with a little more patience. Good luck!

Looks and sounds great so far, just remember that we need to ‘approve’ the rock scape before you decide! Lol

And keep the pictures coming!

Rock was bleached for a week. Washed out, soaked in watch and prime. Let it sit out in the sun for a few days.

Going to let this cycle for a good bit to be honest. I'm in no rush at all.

You seem to have several good options. It can be a little bit of a challenge to imagine what it will look like covered in coralline algae and various types of corals - squint hard :). Whatever arrangement you chose, make sure its stable. Some people like to glue their rocks together, but I prefer not to because I know that I'll change my mind (usually several times).
