In my sump where the return pump is every other day I need to add water to it cause the water level drops. My ato sensor is in the chamber where the skimmer is. That water level never really changes. How do I keep the water lever on my return pump chamber up?

ATO sensor needs to be in the return chamber. No way to avoid it, the ATO doesn't know to kick in if it isn't where the water level changes due to evaporation which is always going to be the final sump chamber.

When I put it in there it comes on like every 10 mins. Figured that was gonna mess with things

How often the ATO kicks on is going to depend on how large the return chamber is, how much evaporation is occurring, the ATO itself depending on how much variance it allows between high and low water level. It is helping to keep the salinity stable by adding RO as water evaporates into the air and leaves salt behind.

I'll admit, 10 minute intervals sounds pretty frequent. I've never looked at logs, but I think mine kick in about every 30ish minutes for about 10-15 seconds. But if the return chamber is small I could see it happening that frequently
