I am setting up my RSR250 and have a Varios6 return pump and I am trying to figure out the right pump settings and drain setting for the correct flow. Actually, what is the correct flow? The water level in the rear chamber ,were my pump is, doesn’t seem deep enough. Water is also draining down the overflow drain pipe. Any ideas on what it should be at?

Sounds like you just need to:
1. add a little more water
2. set the pump to where you're getting the amount of flow into the tank you want
3. adjust the valve on the drain to get the level in the overflow right
4. take out extra water until the level in the pump section is right.

Thank you for the advice, I added some more water and it seems to have helped. This is my first tank with a sump so I am learning as I go.

R2R is definitely one of the best placed to go for help / advise.

If the overflow is gurgling that means you would need to turn the knob on the down pipe. Turn one way or another until it stops. The water in the sump should stop where the float valve isn't dumping water back in.
