Loud Red Sea 300 skimmer

As the title states. I bought this skimmer today. Has been marketed as being pretty quiet but this thing is loud... not sure if it’s me or how I set it up or something is off....

my tank is a Red Sea 170.

I should quiet down after break-in period. But one thing, it's a bit oversized for the E-170. I would have gone with a slightly smaller unit. My daughter has an E-170 and we don't have the sump upgrade for it yet.
