Hello Everyone

After 9 months of enjoying building a 35L Nano I've upgraded to a red sea XL300 but have a blanks to fill in before I can get it cycling....

I need to think about how to keep my cat from jumping into it.

I have a young 1 year old cat who likes investigating everything, Im not worried the cat will get hurt as she would just jump out if she fell in but I am worried about the tidal wave of water that would leave the tank if she fell in and cover my TV and other equipment thats just next to the tank.

Ive bought the red sea net to go ontop but i dont think it would support a cats weights (havent built it yet but just assuming this)

Can anyone offer any advice on this - should I have some type of lid made for the tank? can you buy off the shelf lids? Am i worried about something thats not really an issue?

Really appreciate any thoughts on this :) :)

Clearviewlids makes a cover that can also be fitted with plastic inserts over the net. No I do not have that particular one, but check out their page.

I have purchased a canopy that fits over my breeder tank. It's the only way to keep my water loving bengal out of the tank.

Sell that TV since you won’t be needing it once that tank fills up with nice fish and corals :)
