Red Sea 425xl Deluxe - First Build Thread!

I got this one but with the frosted glass doors. Also i needed it to be taller so i got white 7.5" bed legs in the beds section. They have the same fittings so worked great and almost the same hight as my stand. I had originally gotten the second shorter besta shelf but the two stacked on top of each other was too tall for me.

Nice job! I was getting ready to pull trigger on the 350 deluxe, and then came across a post where the person was also getting a 350 but then saw the 425xl same length, bit wider and went for that. Now I’m thinking the same thing!

Been awhile since my last update. It took me months to clean all of my old rock that had been sitting outside for a couple years. Then every weekend id take a day to mix a small amount of marco cement and glue a bit of the rocks together. Added water to the display and salted it up. Plugged misc things. One of the biggest projects was tearing down the remains of my 36 gallon back at my parents place. Everything left fit in a 10 gallon that they are temporarily in while I cleaned that 36 and moved it over here to be used as a quarantine tank. Purchased another little stand from ikea as a stand for it. Great deal and first the 36.5” long tank perfectly!
