Red Sea 425xl refugium

I have a a red sea 425 and I would like to set up a refugium. any idea how to set up a baffle or a refugium for the red sea sump? I would apricate it so much for the help

Probably not the best solution but I just used a piece of egg crate to separate the sump for a skimmer and refugium section. I wanted one of the nice baffles like reef dreams were making but it seems like those were hard to find. This way seems to be working well so far though.

Can you tell if it’s a difference with that set up for the refugium?

I don’t have the Redsea 425 but I have the Max E-260. I wanted a fuge to grow chaeto and pods. I used a 7.5” cube aquarium and drilled a hole and use a small pump in the back of tank to feed the chaeto. Has worked very well so far, my chaeto has doubled since the picture here in less than a month. Dustin

Can you tell if it’s a difference with that set up for the refugium?

Not sure to be honest. My only concern with using the egg crate was if the chaeto started to grow through it, it could potentially get sucked into the inlet on my skimmer. I keep an eye on it and so far that hasn't been a problem. Originally I wanted to drill the ato reservoir and use that but as you can see that space got used for my doser instead.
