Might be set back now with there 750XXL Debacle although people have ben begging for extra large size tanks from major manufacturers for FOREVER so awesome to see Red Sea continuing to stretch out there product line. Thanks for sharing and hopefully a release date will be out soon!

Yes I have been waiting too hoping the same and I'm very interested in the 900xl model I wonder what size would the display tank be? Very curious

I'm curious too, in the article they mentioned the tank stretches out 2 meters so I'm not sure if it really is 6 1/2' (which would be a weird step up) certainly looks like its taller than the standard RS Reefer.

It's also nice they seem to actually be listening to customers with the new Dual Returns on the larger tanks. Something so simple but was a nice feature with the Waterboxs. This is where a little helpful competition in the market seems to have brought some positive outcomes.

I'm curious on availability, measurements, and pricing.

Where and when did Red Sea make this announcement?

900L = 237.75 gallons. That would be the total system water. My guess is a 45 gallon sump and 7.5 gallon ATO (750xl has a 40 & 7.5) and you're left with 180 gallons main display. Or maybe sump and ATO remain the same as 750xl leaving 185g main display? 750xl claims to have a 160g main display. This is similar to the Waterbox 220
6/230.6 (167/168.9 gallons display).

I assume height remains at 24. Depth 25. Length 72 (remember to subtract 3/4 inch gallons when adding up internal water) Making it 180g. Make it 73x24x25 and you're around 185g. The article claims "This two meter behemoth". But it doesnt add up since that would make it 78.74 inches long.

When looking at the numbers, it's not much bigger than the Waterbox.

This is red seas reply to the question of when will it be available.
"We have not officially announced the new systems to the North America market however I believe we should have more concrete information in early 2020."

"We have not officially announced the new systems to the North America market."

And yet today they Spam Emailed all registered owners in North America announcing it.. Hmmm. Left hand not talking to the right hand I guess.

Asked this in a different thread, but did they mention glass thickness anywhere in the email? 900 is a little longer, wonder if they had to go with a thicker glass. Especially with it being rimless. Could mean a bigger price difference from the 750.

Not sure how much in price difference is worth the bigger size. But I will defiantly consider the 900 over the 750 and the Waterbox 220.6

Answered it in a different thread too :) Usually cross posting the same questions is frowned upon. LOL

Just saw this online here you go everyone

I’ve not long bought the 750, which hasn’t even got water in yet. I’m devastated that AI never knew the 900 was in the pipeline, knowing this I would have waited for the bigger one. Oh well, never mind.

Expensive..... :p ;)
