I’ve just got a bottle of ab+ and have watched a couple videos on it but is there a best time to use it light on or off middle of the day?

thanks

I feed it in the late evening just as lights go out . This is when most coral send out their feeding tubes and feelers in search of food

I personally dose my Red Sea AB+ a few minutes after lights-out usually once per week sometimes twice. I have a 75 gallon mixed reef with abut 105gal total water volume but I dose it as if I'm dosing a 50 gallon aquarium.

When I was feeding ab I would use it about an hour before lights out.

Perfect thanks guys will start tonight then. Red Sea advise to dose it every day at 4ml per 100l so my tank is about 350l after taken off some for rock and substrate should I dose everyday or just a couple times a week as a couple of you have said?

To throw a bit of a different view into it, I dose mine during the day usually mixed in with some food and also reef roids, but I only use it once every 2 weeks

It does depend on nutrient levels in your system though, if your running very low, you need to add it more frequently

Anyway, if you dose it when the lights are going out, you will miss that ‘groovy colour’!
