Been using ab+ about 3 months now and haven't noticed any change at all in colour or growth? 2ml per day in a 13 gallon tank. What are you using and is it working well for you am looking to change from ab+ would like sone suggestions
Thanks

Amino acids are only part of the equation. Elements, lighting, nutrients and also flow play a role.

Also, what kind of corals are you stocking? What kind of system are you running? I’d look at parameters first before relying on bottled stuff. I do use Red Sea AB+ but use it sparingly and I don’t depend on it for color and growth.

What do you use for the getting great color for your corals?

I adhere to normal coral keeping practices. Proper lighting, flow, nutrients, stability, dosing, water changes on schedule, feeding, etc. My tank isn’t anything special so I really can’t talk. My focus is more on growth really.

@chrisgold i saw your reply but can’t reply to it. But you said you didn’t ask about it. But Red Sea AB+ is primarily amino acids. They add in carbohydrates and vitamins but the main part of it is aminos. Aminos can also be obtained from feeding your fish. That’s the secret behind Red Sea’s formula.

Test your potassium. If low will inhibit good color, I maintain 400 among other params mention here and have good color.

I also dose phyto daily and zooplankton several times a week. now, AB+. Going to stop using AB+ when it runs out to see if any difference.
