Does anyone have any experience dosing the Red Sea ABCD colours in a small nano tank? Looking at dosing but don’t wanna over dose. I currently don’t dose calcium because levels are good with just water changes. Therefore I don’t know how much to dose? Was thinking of stopping doing water changes and just dosing Calcium, Alk, and magnesium instead? Thoughts?

Welcome to reef2reef! Just figure out how much calcium you’d need to dose to maintain calcium at the same number. Then dose off that. It will be a very small dose. When I used it on my 90 gal I was only dosing about 2.5 ml’s daily; It’s decent stuff, I’m going a different direction with zeovit now.

I would start with 1ml per 10 gallons weekly and test to see where your levels are at. If low, you can safely increase to 2ml per 10 gallons.

Brs recomends 1ml per 51.1ml of CA dosed and its pretty accurate. In my 50g aio, I dose 10ml cal and alk everyday and I only dose 1ml of abcd once a week. Everytime I dose my duncan closes up for a day so im thinking about reducing to .5 ml a week. My tank is mixed reef mainly sps. Honestly I cant tell if it makes a difference, I wont be buying anymore after im done with mine.

Red Sea has an all In one product. It’s made for small tanks. That will allow you to dose just one thing and that will handle everything. ABC+

Tropic Marin also makes a product all in one.
