So the Red Sea Alk test consists of 1ml of reagent to 10ml of test water. Is there any reason that couldn't be cut in half with out skewing the results? I test alk all the time, looking to save a little $$. Seems to me that it should yield the same results but I'm no chemist.

The test kits are made to use that amount so I would think it would mess up the results. Test both the 10 and the 5ml and compare results.
