Red Sea Alkalinity dose ?

Have 140 gallon mixed reef . Trying to elevate our alkalinity from 7 to 11.Used Red Sea alkalinity supplement and dosed 50 ml . Sound right?

Fantastic! I just plugged your numbers in and found a total dose of 210mL using Red Sea Foundation B. Make sure the water volume accounts for displacement from rock/equipment and split the doses up so as not to shock any corals! Happy reefing!

I had the same issue. My Alk is 104 ppm or 5.8 dKh. I couldn't believe it was that low. Thanks for the calculator.

While there is nothing wrong with 11 dKH (I recommend 7-11 dKH), IMO, you need to be sure nutrients are not too low if you have SPS corals. Otherwise, you may get burnt tips, possibly from the skeletons growing faster than the tissue can keep up.

Is 11 dKH an intentional decision? Or just an LFS recommendation or some such thing?
