Red Sea Aquarium Net Cover Kit

About six months ago I bought a kit and made a top. I did a good job and it works, but it isn't perfect and feel it is flimsy. Does anyone else agree? Also does anyone have a better option. I feel if they had an extra bar down the middle it would be better. We spend big bucks on the tank, coral and fish. thanks

I bought extra parts and added a central bar on mine. My main issue with them is when running the cord into the slot it snaps the net! Mine has loads of cuts in it. Very annoying.

I replacing the top all together is an option, there’s some nice ones out there from kraken reef and clear view lids!

I actually like my red sea tops. I bought the biggest one and made a bunch for all my tanks, although the biggest being the forty cube. If I had a larger tank, I would put in a center bar, or in reality make the tops in two foot sections, so you wouldn't have to take the whole top off all the time. I didn’t have an issue with the screens because I ended up redoing all the screens in the house a couple years ago. It was good practice.
The Kraken tops are nice. You can’t really compare to the red sea ones. But the red sea ones are a million times better than making the one with parts for the hardware store.

Mine's not too bad. It's only a 60cm cube tank so not huge but whilst I wouldn't say it's flimsy, it's certainly not the most sturdy thing and I expect it would be much worse if the tank was larger.

I've seen some acrylic lids around that look good, not sure of names etc though but that could be worth looking into.
Been actually wondering/thinking about getting something like this for my ATO reservoir just so I minimize contamination.
