Does anyone have any experience on setting up the Red Sea auto top off that comes with the sump? Thanks

I would put replacing the integrated ATO high on the future improvements list, it inevitably gets clogged due to salt creep in a relatively short amount of time IME

Yeah, I had to unhook the line and blow into the hose occasionally because it would get clogged. Have a Tunzee now.

I personally like the stock ATO and use that on both my RSR tanks. I do use an ATK in each ATO reservoir to keep the ATO topped up daily from my RODI reservoir but like the continuous gravity fed delivery of the stock ATO to maintain stable salinity. I find I only need to clean the float valve every 3-6 months at most. Initially they needed more regular cleaning but as my tanks matured they settled right down. I do use an optical sensor in each sump for a low level alert in case they do gum up (my tanks run on Apex heads).

When opening the white valve on the airline elbow be careful not to open it too much - if you do that it will start leaking from the top and empty the entire ATO into your sump. You need it open enough that water drops from the float valve, but not too much more.
