They said its a Red Sea C-600 (175 gal) with A1 Vega lights. It was a floor model at an aquarium store and comes with everything they had running with it. I am going to check it out later today but I had a few questions.

1. I looked up Red Sea C-600 and couldn't find anything, Im not sure if this is a discontinued model or if it was mislabeled. Does anyone know any pros/cons of this model?

2. I have never heard of these lights, I looked them up and it looks like they came out in 2013. Im not sure how long they have been running, I will ask today. Anyone have any experience with them?

3. Does this seem like a good set up? They are asking $1300. Of course I need to see what else is included, but it is a no-go from the start?

4. Any questions I should ask them when I go today?

Also they are selling a 1/2 HP aqua chill chiller asking $200.

Any help or experiences with this equipment would be appreciated. Thanks!

i would ask when was the last time it held water because the silicone seals can dry rot. Also find out what equipment will be coming with the tank. I have never had a Red Sea tank but from what I have the build quality is amazing. If they are asking 1300 I would offer them 1000 cash. But that's mine opinion and what was the reason for tearing the tank down?

They are liquidating a fish store. So if you leave the tank dry for too long it will be a problem? After how long of the tank being dry would you be concerned about silicone rot? Thank you for the help!

It all depends on the silicone really. You can tell by looking at it if there is cracks in it but that don't mean the glass is bad all you would have to do is scrape out the silicone and grab a tube of the aquarium silicone and reseal it Urself your better to be safe that have saltwater on your floor and cause thousands of dollars in damage

Ok. Is this a pretty simple procedure or would it be better to have a professional do it?

Also after looking at red seas website I think this is maybe an older version of the Red Sea MAX S-650 with a custom canopy. I will try to get the dimensions when I go what do you guys think?

Hey guys! So it turns out its a S-600 with canopy. I looked in the sump and they just had some heaters a return pump and plumbing. Since it is missing the skimmer it comes with he said he would throw in one of the display skimmers he got from the store. Which would be $1300 for whats pictured return, heaters, and a brand new skimmer. What do you guys think?

Two of my really good friends just paid less than $1,000 for Red Sea tanks. There's were a little smaller but still, you should have no issues with these tanks or stands as they're built to last. I'd pay $1,100-$1,300 depending on what brand skimmer came with.

Update! He looked through his storage unit to see if there was any other equipment that came with the tank and he found some.

Looks like a reactor and a UV sterilizer.
He is offering a new skimmer from the displays from the store. One is a bubble mag and one is Reef Octopus. Which would you guys recommend?

Also I will be storing this for 7 months before I move. Any suggestions on how to keep it from dry rotting? Should I fill it up with fresh water when storing?

Sounds like a great deal with the Radions, I have a Red Sea Max S500 with a Reef Octopus skimmer and have been quite pleased with it. You will enjoy the Red Sea, they are very well built.
