Hey I just purchased a used Red Sea C130 and just set it up. the skimmer was previously lightly cleaned so its like a new setup i guess.
Anyway, i cant get this to adjust properly. with no valve it just over flows the cup immediately and just keeps spilling over...or with the valve there are bubbles flowing from somewhere else into the chamber.

I'll say this:
The C130 is way better than the original 130 and 130D.

Give it time to break in.

Coral putty and chemiclean will make a skimmer go wacko too.

Giving it time to break in means, leave it over flowing, turn it off, or adjust it to barely any air going in ?

Local Fish store said leave it off

I'd run it (and adjust if need be) for aeration, inside your reef.
