Red Sea Calcium (liquid foundation A) Odor

Can someone who uses this please have a whiff?
Mine smells musky/moldy and wondering if contaminated.
In my 5L jug, there is also some brownish residue on the bottom.
Jug is a year or so old, and expires 04/27.

A successful coral reef aquarium depends on how well you maintain the water parameters which are the key to a stable coral environment. All of the elements found in natural seawater play a role in providing optimal water parameters, but some are more significant than others. These elements, the foundation of the reef environment, include the three major elements: Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg) and Carbonates (CO3). All three have a major effect on water chemistry (pH stability, Alkalinity, ionic strength) and on many of the coral’s biological processes (skeleton formation, ions exchange, photosynthesis). The foundation elements complement each other in the formation of coral skeleton. If not balanced correctly one of the elements will quickly limit healthy coral growth. Maintaining balanced levels of the Foundation Elements (Ca, KH Mg) creates optimal water conditions for promoting strong and healthy coral growth. Reef Foundation A is a Calcium Strontium complex for balanced formation of Coral Skeleton. Reef Foundation A: Contains Calcium, Strontium, and Barium according to the ratios found in coral skeleton. Concentration: 1ml will raise the Ca level of 100 liters (25 gal) by 2ppm.

So, the stuff seems to be made with Ca, Sr and Ba salts. Not sure how this mixture could "go bad" sitting on the shelf unless it was perhaps contaminated (accidental introduction of tank water during dosing?) but it seems to be degraded by something that got into the container.

Me being frugal would use it as directed but if it stinks really bad I might throw it out to prevent poisoning the reef with whatever is lurking in the container and to avoid complaints by the misses.

I think it is interesting that the description talks about balancing CA, Mg and CO3 but contains Sr and Ba in addition to calcium?
