Yesterday I tested CA with a new Red Sea test kit. It showed 400. I backed that up with API test that showed 380. I decided to not add any calcium and check it today. I did 4 test with the Red Sea.
1st test showed 500????
2nd showed 420
3rd showed 450
4th showed 470
This is very frustrating to me. I then checked it with API it showed 400.

Like I said I didn't add any calcium. How could the calcium go up? I'm very frustrated. Anyone have an issue like this?

Are you cleaning the test vial before each use? Possible residue?

Just asking, you are reading the test results correctly? There are many, myself included, that didn't from the get go.

I clean after each use and then rinse with tank water before use. I've watched all the videos from Redsea and a few others. Im emulating the steps in the videos. As far as I know I'm doing it properly.
