I have just picked up the test kits and the 4 color supplements. I will be using this thread to update with pictures and comments.

I'll also take pictures once a week of each acro and some chalices. Feel free to tag along :)

I would be worried about over doing it with dosing trace minerals... If you are curious if you even need to you could check out high quality water testing sites like aquariumwatertesting.com and have your trace minerals analyzed.

The whole point of this red system is to analyze aspects of the tank and identify the elements that are most used such as cal and mag. This will allow you to find if you need so much cal one week the coral have used up x amount of trace and with a measured dose of the other bottles you replenish this. This is no different than any other test and dose and for me after a few weeks I can say it makes a huge difference especially with LPS. I say only do the cal, mag and kh for a few weeks before using the other supplements. If you are planning on just using the supplements then you should be testing for them specifically

When I went to a seminare put on by red sea they told us that the color regiman was a part of the original Cal/Mag/KH regiman. If you ise 10ml of the Cal it is 1ml of the color pack. This did not men you could not use the color pack but, they said you should be testing those levels if you only use the color pack. This was from the Red sea guy here in my area. I called the company and they also confirmed this with me playing dumb. it is like a chemical soup and you need to have all of the chemicals correct for the trace to work correctly.

Okay so I have finished the testing

They were pretty easy to test for, potassium being the trickiest.

I have decided to dose just 1 ml of each a day for now to see how my system reacts. Then will steadily continue to rise until I get where I am needed to be. I have taken pics of all my acros and will be posting them up soon!

Water testing today is as follows ...

Salt - 1.026
No3- 0
Po4- 0

Ca - 380
Kh - 9
Mag - 1400

K - 338
Fe - 0
I2 - 0

Your calcium is too low if there is lack of calcium you will see less benefits from the other supplements. you should try to get tat up to 450

Thanks for your input, I'm actually in the process!

Be careful with this system I caused a months long browning event using the part D about last fall. Dose on the low side of their instructions.
