Red Sea Coral AB Dosing (2 - Part Formula)

I have a couple bottles of Red Sea Coral Energy A/B that I'm trying to use up before transitioning to the AB one-part formula.

I see some people mention giving half doses daily of Coral AB. Others give the entire amount. Is there a reason other than financial for me to only half-dose? Is the half-dosage to prevent rapid growth or more to prevent nitrates from accumulating? Or just to save some money?

I only have (2) fish in a fairly new 150 gallon tank with thriving refugium, so I don't worry to much at this stage about nitrates building up -- due to coronavirus restrictions in the country where I live, it appears it will be this way for some time.

No, I have a reef tank with only two fish. Lots of corals. I inherited the tank from someone else during covid 19 restrictions. The previous owner had sold all the fish except two.
