I wouldnt waste my time with triton who tries to sell you on no water changes but instead your spending a ton on their product when you could go without waterchange aslong as you know your tank is low in metals.

That’s not true. Triton is not a ‘no water change ‘ method at all. Triton uses targeted water changes to fix problems as and when they occur. Your view is very miopic

My views are not miopic; wait what does that even mean? So your saying they don't advertise consumers on the "water change thing"? Thats there #1 pitch.... Triton says "Send us a water sample at $50, well test and let you know when to do a waterchange". Since when does a water change fit into a toolbox? Run the system naturally and add things as you need them as the tank matures... I see hobbyist adding biopellets and GFO to newly started tanks and then post there parameters looking for help,, uhh your stripping your nutrients. Its same with triton method, it won't work in a newly setup reef that does not have enough life to support all those trace elements, instead you'll just feed those algaes and your ecosystem will fail before it starts..

You defeat your own argument. In your first post you say they advertise a 'no water change' system and in your second you say "Send us a water sample at $50, well test and let you know when to do a waterchange"

The water change is a tool to correct imbalances in the aquarium. Myopic is in this case referring to a short sighted viewpoint. I run Triton and do water changes as and when they are required, as I say its a tool, much as GFO and bio-pellets are tools, you use them when required. That is the methodology behind Triton.

I use Triton snd they are not saying no water changes. Based on test results your tank may not need water changes but rather addition of as an example: iron or msgnesium or similar rather than an entire water change. It may even indicate to pull off of using one of their very own chemicals if not needed.
In turn, no need to change 39% tank water if your good on all levels except one specific that can be added manually
