Red Sea Coral Pro salt is lumpy

I've been using Red Sea Coral Pro salt for the past 1.5 years with no problems, but the latest bucket I got from my LFS was full of lumps. And these are rock-hard lumps ranging from 1/2" to a couple inches across scattered among the normal powdery salt. The bag inside the bucket was still sealed with the typical red zip tie, but obviously at some point during production or shipping it must have gotten wet. When I mix it up in a bucket, the powder dissolves but the lumps remain. After a few minutes they soften up enough where I can crush them with a piece of PVC pipe I use to stir the bucket.

I'm just wondering if the salt mix is still good enough to use, or if I should toss it. I'll talk to the LFS about getting a replacement bucket.

Just curious if anyone else has had this problem?

I have not seen that with the Red Sea salt mixes, but it might still be good if it fully dissolves.

I'd call your LFS for their thoughts, and test it's salinity, cal, alk and mag after mixing your first batch.

If it has changed color (in raw form) from white, to a blueish tint, then do not use.
