Wow dude. You need to relax. Maybe look up exactly who you are telling knows nothing. Randy is an extremely well respected guru on all things chemistry. I'm sure he has forgotten more about reef chemistry than you know. Not sure what your problem is but you asked for help and got it. Was it the answer you wanted, no, but no need to act like a child. I for one after seeing this post will ignore any questions from you from here on out.

I have found that with most all salt mixes that I have tried a half a cup usually gets me to 1.025- 1.026. This makes it a lot easier for me to measure out and mix. This is the salinity recommended for most all corals. But it is your tank so you can do whatever you think is best Good luck.
