Red Sea Coral Pro Salt

I mixed up a batch of Coral Pro and just tested the Alk. It only came out to 8.1 which is very low for this brand. I just triple checked with My Hannah Checker and checked the Hannah checket with a Salifert Test. Thinking I had major precipitation with the mix or got a bad batch of salt. Anyone habe this issue?

It actually sounds like they may have accidently put the blue bucket salt in your CP bucket. I switched to the blue bucket to mix to that alk.

I would recommend mixing up another small batch (5 gallons or so) and test it again. If it's the same, and assuming you're testing properly, I would say something isn't right.

Fortunately or unfortunately it was the last of my bucket. I am just going to use the water in my QT tank and get a new bucket. I was wondering why my alk woukd drop slightly after a water change. Very odd.
