Hey all, I currently have a innovative marine 30L All-in-one. I’m not a huge fan of all in one tanks, and I’m wanting to upgrade to something a little bigger, was looking at reefer 250, or waterbox 70.3 with a standard cabinet sump system. But I have an opportunity to buy a Red Sea E-260 all-in-one though for $1000, which includes 2x AI hydras, a full apex system with some extra modules and some other junk included. On the downside, the owner says the bulkheads for the additional In cabinet sump upgrade were leaking so they siliconed the holes- and plugs. Would this be something worth looking into possibly fixing the leaking bulkheads? Or can you not fix Red Sea bulkheads? Or would it be worth it to just run another all in one setup? I’m used to it, I’m just not a huge fan of AIOs. But the sump area would be bigger on the Red Sea compared to my innovative marine currently, so it may be easier and a better experience. Also, I have 90% of the equipment sold in this deal. I could essentially buy the setup and sell the hydras and apex system and make over half the money I used to buy the setup to begin with?

Anyways, just wondering what you guys would do? Would you run the AIO setup, try to fix the bulkheads and do the in cabinet sump upgrade? Or save the money and buy something else new?

I think its a great deal but it is hard to say if you could fix the bulkheads. If it is an Oring Issue it should be ab easy fix but if the plastic is cracked it could be much harder. I would not get the tank if I wasn't ok with using the built in filtration.
