Hey everyone. Anyone have any experience with the Red Sea e260? I will get it within the next 3 months or around Christmas time. What would I need to upgrade/ add besides a power head and ato unit. What do you like and dislike about it. If you have it can you share some pictures and link me or something?

The only thing that I'd consider is going with a Reefer so you have a real sump.

Regards, GoVols

I kinda need it to run straight out of the box and also ill add the sump upgrade after a year or less if I need it.
Good Call!

I've heard and seen pictures of the factory skimmer doing a great job.

So you bought the sump upgrade?
Yes I did, it was a worth while upgrade. Took the skimmer and set it up inside the sump. So you have an empty back cavity with two circulation pumps in there and one return pump up from the sump.

I have an E260 "out of the box" as you say. Only added a single power head. Suits my needs just fine. This is one year's time. Everything was small frags when added.

Nice I think I'm going to go with the reefer 250 though. I found one used for $625 and I'm waiting for a response from seller.
