Can anyone direct me on how to clean Red Sea float valve on auto top off ? Does it come apart to clean ? If so how ?Thanks in advanced

I’m not sure it comes apart as there isn’t really anything to it

I just wipe it ‘occasionally’ (like once a year!).

Just be careful with it, I was doing sump work and making some waves in the sump. The float broke right off the rest if it and started emptying water from the ato. Maybe just mine but it was very brittle

I have a 250 and they are fairly easy to clean.

1. Turn off the ATO outlet valve.
2. Disconnect the flexible tube from the float - this can be quite stiff, so be careful not to break the float inlet. Grab the float with one hand, the tube with the other, put the thumbnail of the other hand on the end of the tube and work it loose.
3. Unscrew the bottom plastic hex screw - hold the float assembly as you do this.
4. Take the float out.
5. Unscrew the inlet valve from the float.
6. Wash in warm water, scrub with a toothbrush, blow and check it is fully clean - get into all nooks.
7. Screw the inlet valve back in.
8. Re-fit the float to the tank using the large hex screw.
9. Put back the tube.
10. Re-open the outlet valve.
