Hi guys,

So I have been struggling with this so for so long! There is so much information on the forum and some of it is conflicting. I have my hydra HD 26 set at the recommended setting that is listed on my Red Sea Max E-170 manual. However it says “recommended at maximum intensity”. Is this too strong for my coral? I have 2 birds nest, some ricordia, a Kenya tree, hammer, torch, Xenia, electric daisy, Duncan, flower pot. I have been messing with my lights so much I’m not sure what the results of this new setting is. I have it on 50% acclimation mode for 60 days at the moment but have been seeing my birds nest kind of bleach but that would be from the previous settings. On the old setting my BTA was at the very top corner of the tank and when I changed them yesterday he came back down into the rock work. Not sure what that means.

Parms: SG 1.025, Am 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 3 ppm, Ak 9.4, CA 420

Have you seen these signature settings?
You can click on each reefer and download their AI profile.

http://www.aquaillumination.com/signature/

When I was running the AI's to the Red Sea's "Reef Spec's Profile" it was just too bright and powerful to start off with

Does it matter that some of them have multiple lights? I only have 1 26. What about the profiles for the 52s, can I use them?

I'd just chose the one you like :)

If you pick an 52 profile and it does not work, please let us know.

You can use any profile with any light, the only real difference between the lights is the amount of pucks they have, settings and programs are the same across the board unless you want to go crazy that is. But any of those settings will work on your single light :):)

How does the room ambient sunlight factor into the settings if you only ramp up the lights at noon and darken at midnight?

my tank is 18×18×18 I have a mix reef I run a AI prime HD sps at the and lps at the bottom I had to move some of the sps down to the middle of the tank was getting to much light the first 3 channel are at maximum 3% on green and red CW at 30% 2 hour ramp up 6 photo time a total of 8 hours
