Red Sea Journey- 300xL edition

Well let's start from Day 1, I started my saltwater journey after being in freshwater game for 6-8 years. Well last year with a 29 gallon tank later I started the salt water tank and later in the year my wife cousin gave me his 65 gallon tank with a clown and a goby. This past Thanksgiving I pulled a trigger and got a red sea 300 Xl from my lfs.

Anywhoo we are here
Here's what I'm currently running on this tanks
- Ai 64 Hd
- Ai Nero 5 pump
- used hydor return pump
- old eshopps skimmer
- hygger heater

Current life stock
- 3 clowns yes I know 3 clowns
- goby
- shrimp
- sand shifting starfish
- a few clean up snails

Current corals
- 2 zoas
- hammer heads
- a few softies

Welp Santa came late to my place and drop
A new @Sicceus19 pump and reef oct 110 classic
.
Did a water change and installed all new equipment.
Just kinda wish sicce would have added a smaller barb fitting but I made it work.
Next updates are fuge set up, new ato reservoir .

This looks good. We are pulling the trigger as well on a XL 300 "We" were looking at the 250, but my wife saw the XL 300 and decided that's the one she wants (since apparently I "stole" her 120 and is now a SPS dominate tank).

Looking forward to seeing how the fuge takes shape. She's on the fence on whether she wants one in it.

I would upgrade the single AI 64 to 2 Red Sea Reef 90 LEDs. you will get better coverage, AND red Sea did a lot of research, (on their YouTube channel), on lighting and determined corals mainly use the 360-480nm spectrum and not so much the whites. My daughter's E-170 has one and her corals are just outstanding.

Looking great! My 300 XL Deluxe should be here this week. Been going through as many build threads as possible to get ideas for the last few weeks. Keep the posts coming!
