Hi guys, so I just bought this stuff from my LFS and noticed that it says to be used for soft corals or fish only tank. Does anyone know why we can't use this if we have LPS or SPS in the tank?

Thanks.

Lol, naturally if you have lots of LPS/SPS you would maintain your big3 elements. Therefore, there's no need for this product to grow coralline. :p

Thank you. Assuming I'm not dosing anything else at all.. None of the alk, Cal or Mg.. would it do any harm to existing stony corals in the tank? Cheers

If you have stony corals, you should either already be dosing or maintaining alk, Ca, Mg. Coralline uses these to build just like a coral would. Therefore this product is meant for people who don’t keep stony corals that want to provide the proper elements and alkalinity to grow coralline. This would of course be assuming you already have coralline in the tank.

As long as you test your water and keep the parameter in the range, then it wouldn't harm the corals. ;)

Thanks guys. Just double checking in case there's a specific active ingredient in the Coralline Gro that SPS can't handle. Thanks for all the help :)
