Red Sea Liquid Calcium looks rusty?

I’ve never noticed this before. I’ve been using this for a while but have only been through a couple of bottles. I dumped a 1L bottle into a new dosing container and it’s rusty. Is this ok to use? You can see my older container with clear Red Sea liquid

I've never seen Red Sea Calcium look like that. My alkalinity supplement looks just like that but not calcium. I would call them and see what they say before adding it to the tank.

That's a bummer....do you use Red Sea alkalinity too? Mine is not rusty like that (that's what's in the white/blue container)

I did find this on their FAQ for this product. While it's mentioning the powder version, perhaps the liquid one has this issue too.

• When Mixing Foundation A powder into a stock solution it gets very hot and mixes to a brownish yellow liquid. Is it normal?​

  Yes. It is normal for heat to be generated when mixing Foundation A, which is caused by the nature of the dissolution reaction. The stock solution has brownish yellow tint, due to the natural colors of the mixed elements composing the mixture.

That's a bummer....do you use Red Sea alkalinity too? Mine is not rusty like that (that's what's in the white/blue container)

Yes I use Red Sea Ca, Kh, and Mag. The Kh always looked that way so I assumed it was normal lol. I don't dose it often, but never had a problem.

It could be a similar situation. I would call still and ask if it was my tank.

I don't think you can call them. At least on their website there is only a form to fill out with questions and they recommend contacting your LFS for 'urgent' questions.
