Red Sea mature pro kit

Hey guys
Started my cycle yesterday in my aquareef 400 using the red Sea mature pro kit.
Woke up this morning and my water seems a little cloudy? Nothing major but it's definitely different than before I added the mature kit.

Is this down to a bacteria bloom of some sort?

Cloudy water usually means bacteria bloom. Have you tested your parameters?

Need to check them after work as didn't have time this morning.
I've spoken to my my lfs where I purchased the kit and apparently it's just the ammonia and it's perfectly normal, will start to get better when it starts turning to nitrite and so on.
Panic over!

So ammonia was below 1. Nitrite was 0.2 and nitrate was 5 when I checked. Does this mean the tanks started to cycle a little?

Yes it has keep doing what you’re doing and once your test read zero ammonia and zero nitrite it will be cycled.

Awesome. Ammonia was at 0 today, nitrite at 0.5 I think and nitrate has gone up to 10 so it's slowly getting there. Starting to get some diatoms on the pump and spots of it on my rocks also
