@Inversus , thanks for sharing your experience. Any update on how things went with your cycle? Also, did you use lights as suggested by Red Sea?

The cycle went good I guess? Because I did not use liverock etc. everything was way far behind the schedule given by Red Sea, but that was fine by me.
The skimmer calmed down eventually. I started to remove the content from the skimmer when he went on rampage and it helped. A few days or maybe 1-2 weeks ago Algae started to grow more and more visibly and the nutritions looking almost finalized. I did everything by the book from Red Seas cycle manual except for adding the livestock. So yeah skimmer and light where used like Red Sea required it

Also a week ago I replaced the Deltec 400i with a Nyos 120. Ahh the silence The deltec is really loud (in comparison to the nyos) and it was annoying me because its in my HomeOffice room where I spend a lot of time
