Red Sea max 250 skimmer pump noise

Got a used rsm 250 setup and noticed that the skimmer pump was kind of noisy. Is it normal for this tank, any good suggestions on replacing the skimmer pump?

The pump looks exactly like this one and it’s connected to the skimmer through the adapter on the top.

Maybe its leaning on the glass a bit or there’s something caught in it causing it to vibrate more than usual. That’s my guess. For a replacement I’m not sure.

Ah, really? I was looking at it but wasn’t sure it’s the same model, thanks for the conformation. It’s half the price of the oem pump.

you were right, I took the pump out and found out all 4 suction cups were missing. Put in 4 new cups and the noise lowered a lot now.
