Red Sea Max 250 skimmer upgrade?

Hey guys my dad has one of the red sea max 250 all in one tanks with the skimmer in the back of the tank. Being as the tank is enclosed and it's a different setup than having a sump. Is there an upgrade he can do for the skimmer? He wants to get something a bit nicer that the stock skimmer since he has a decent bio load on the tank.

This is the only skimmer I could find. But you will have to remove the flap above the skimmer chamber for it to fit due to height.
