Ok so my main concern is where I will be placing the tank. It will need to be pretty close to a wall on the right side. I know the right side is how you access the unions for downpipes and the valve for the return. I’m assuming you only need to get back there once or twice a year for maintenance. Question is, if I bring the tank out further from the back wall(enough that my fiancé can slip behind it to access the plumbing) would it be ok to place the tank 3-4” from the right wall. I have added a picture of the corner the tank will be going in. Any insight or experiences are greatly appreciated!

Do you know which way your floor joists are running? Would they be running parallel or perpendicular to the tank. And just to be clear the tank is coming to run out of the corner into the windows? Or go from the window wall down the right wall?

The joists run perpendicular. Tank will span 4 joists and both walls on concrete walls in the basement. Picture below outlines where the foot print of the tank will be. Around 11” from the rear wall.

I don't have experience with the red sea tanks, but perhaps the obvious answer is to place the tank there and simulate doing the maintenance. If it was me I'd make sure I have just enough room then add another inch or 2 to make it slightly easier to get back there.

I'd say itd be fine then if both walls have concrete under them. I know red sea tanks have leveling feet on them but I dunno how they'd be on carpet
