Red sea Max e-170 Skimmer question!!

How Can i clean my red sea max E-170 skimmer i am not talking about the cup but the whole thing in the water, is it possible and should i clean it??

I do periodically clean the skimmer body. I take the whole thing out dismantle what I can and give it a good scrub.
