RED SEA MAX NANO 2020 BUILD

Try a mandarin or a bicolor blenny r meant to eat algae and have a bit of character.

Never kept any of those before but ill do some research on them thankyou!!!

im using dry rock so I’m hoping algae should be to a minimum!!!!

Tell me about it, I almost put my whole setup aside before I even started cycling and was gonna go get a bigger tank. Lucky I didnt, as I had already bought all equipment. I'll have to start posting in my tank build thread soon, I only joined r2r today, just been busy reading

How'd you go? Hopefully u got it?

I HAVE SOME BAD BAD NEWS.......

After closer inspection of the tank all was not meant to be...
where do i start...

1) Tank had hundreds of hairline cracks
2) One LARGE chip to the left front corner
3) The black screen that hides the filtration was badly marked with pink paint/ink??
4) Skimmer Was Cracked
5) Light had two broken LEDS

Basically a disaster so i did not buy it for obvious reasons!!!

what have i learnt?

Buy a tank brand new haha

Bad luck mate, I'm sure one will come up in good time

Yeah very bad luck!!! Just goes to show what photos can hide! Least to say i was gutted! (Especially after a 1 hour drive)

But ive rang my local LFS and they are saying due to the coronavirus Red Sea are experiencing delays so i may be looking at 2 months until back in stock so its a waiting game! I do a have a couple more shops to ring and see if they have one in stock knocking around so ill let you know what happens there!!

This build is going to take slightly longer than I’d hoped to start but means must!

Sorry for the delayed reply!!!

COVID 19 HAPPENED

Tank is still going ahead just delayed so keep am eye out!!

on a better not Aqua Illumination have released a new pump.... THE NERO 3
Im thinking two of these in the max nano!! Opinions!?

RBD

Yeah seems like lots of aquarium companies are delayed this year. I recently bought a used Reefer 250 and I see why new is better. But saved me a lot of money so pros and cons. I hope you get a tank soooon!

I alllmost went with the Nero pumps as they look awesome but ended up with a Red Sea ReefWave. I'd still vote for the Nero pumps based on my research (although I haven't actually used them).

I look forward to seeing what you create!
